Step Tracking Starts Now! Make Small Steps a Daily Habit

Dear Walking Challenge Participants,

November 1 is already here, and step tracking has begun!
Let’s log our daily steps and enjoy walking together.

The key to increasing your step count is to fit a little extra walking into your daily routine.
A 10-minute walk adds roughly 1,000 steps.
Why not pick one of these ideas to try today?

  • Take a 10-minute walk during your lunch break:
Walk around your workplace or a nearby shop after lunch to add about 1,000 steps.
  • Add 10 minutes of walking to your commute or shopping trip: T
ake a longer route home to add about 1,000 steps to your usual routine.
  • Check your step count in the early evening and walk a little more:
Aim for 8,000 steps a day. If you’re 1,000 steps short, try another 10 minutes; if you’re 2,000 steps short, try 20 minutes.

Even if you can’t set aside a long stretch of time, short walks add up.
Enjoy walking at your own pace, taking the weather and how you feel into account.

Registration is open until November 6, so there’s still time to invite others to join us!

Every step you take today brings us closer to the moon.
